Micro Safari Exhibit

A Tool for Collaborative Discovery

Micro Safari Exhibits are cumulatively being enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of children per year, and are on display at CuriOdyssey, ReThink Waste, and Tucson Children’s Museum.

Micro Safari Consumer Product

A Necessary Pivot

During the summer of 2020, knowing that the museum market was falling apart, I decided to pivot my business and create the Micro Safari Consumer Product. I led a team of 6 to take the Micro Safari from an idea to manufacturable product for sale on Amazon in just 3 months. We released the Micro Safari to great fanfare just in time for the holiday season.

Launch Lab

Created in partnership with Startup Tucson, Launch Lab is a makerspace dedicated to accelerating the manufacturing capabilities for growth-stage hardware startups. My role was as the project manager for the build out of the physical space, and the in-house mentor for our startups.

Illumitron

A motion of the hand turns to movement of a robotic machine. Draw in light using the phenomenon of phosphorescence.

Illumitron uses a trackball to control a ‘CNC’ drawing robot that uses UV laser light to produce a sustained glow in a sheet of phosphorescent paper where the laser was activated.

Illumitron currently resides at CuriOdyssey in San Mateo, CA.

Radial Rainbows

Rainbows are visions. They're only illusions. And rainbows have nothing to hide” -Kermit the Frog

Radial Rainbows uses a glass microsphere coated wall to emulate the rainbow-producing effects that happen inside a rain cloud.

Radial Rainbows is on display at CuriOdyssey in San Mateo, CA.

Covalence

Covalence is a modular interactive light art sculpture used for IlluminOdyssey, a yearly celebration of light and art at CuriOdyssey, and is also on permenant display at the Tucson Children’s Museum.
